First...i apologize. I didn't click publish to let everyone know what Mike and Bobby where off of the mountain. Thanks Linda for bailing me out!!!
April, Bobby and Mike weight out their options and decided that they would descend down the mountain. In white out conditions, they followed a guide service that had GPS to get down the mountain. All three climbers were very positive about the decision to descend. They will now have time to take on other adventures. They are going to do some exploring. They will get in a jet boat and take a tour. They are also looking into kayaking with the whales, icebergs and whatever else lives in the sea. The team is very excited about the next adventures. Stay tuned...

Update on Climbers
Hi everyone,
Last night i received a call from April. April was able to make it back to Talkeetna. Bobby and Mike are still on the Glacier waiting for a plan ride back. Everyone is strong and healthy.
The crew realized that with the weather declining, it could be sometime before they would be able to move again. At this point they weighted their cards and decided that they would descend and maybe try to have another adventure or do some site seeing.
I will update everyone when Bobby and Mike are back in Talkeetna.

The climbers are back at base camp. We do not have a check in or a voice mail yet. Once I have it i will share.
Descending Down :-(
When we woke up this morning we were sadden to see that the team was descending down Mt. McKinley. We received a voicemail from the team yesterday that they weather outlook was not promising. Appears that this trip has the same ending as the last one did.

Surprise....the team is on the move
Hello Climbers,
According to the last voicemail the team was going to stay put due to the snow in the forcast. The weather conditions must have cleared enough for a climb. At 5:10PM EDT the climbers are on the move currently at 15300ft. The is the Headwall that leads to the ridge. According to the itinerary they will go up, cache supplies and descend back to 14200ft camp. This day will be a tough day of climbing because at the altitude the air starts to thin out. At 6pm EDT they are at 15600ft.
You have to wonder what happened at this point in the climb. I thought that they were descending....then they started climbing again. Anyone have any ideas?
Here is a link to a map of the route they are taking. I also posted it under important links called West Buttress Route Map. LINK
Here is some information about this area of the climb:
At this part of the climb, teams usually take supplies / food / equipment up to 16800 ft to cache and then descend back to 14200 camp. Which maybe answers why the team started back up again. The route is pretty tough. Going up the fixed lines is very steep and with a heavy pack and thinning air makes it ones of the most strenuous climbs on the trip.
Here are some links from You Tube that I found about this particular leg of the trip. Enjoy.

The park is a bit behind on their climbing stats. Here is what the page stated today.

14200 FT - Strong and Healthy Climbers!!!
Hello Fellow Virtual Climbers,
Sorry for the lack of information on this trip. I have been unable to blog on a regular basis like I was able to last year. Anyways...here are the latest voice mails. As of today the team is doing great. Everyone is healthy and strong. Not sure what April means by the Denali pain train. Maybe some of Bobby's humor...hahaha
Back at 14200 feet. Everything beyond this point will be uncharted territories for the trio. Last year at this stop April and Bobby were met by massive snow fall (and a small cut on bobby's leg) The weather forced them to decent and the trip was over. It appears that the weather might start getting in this teams way. But we will not talk about the weather!!
Voicemail from 7/1 @ 12:25AM
Voicemail from 6/29 @8:37PM

Lets recap the current adventure to 14200ft. Everything from here on out will be new for everyone.
Here is a link to a video of someone while they were climbing Windy Corner....sounds pretty windy.....dress warm! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D6kU3Sp7tqE
