Good Evening Everyone!!! Sorry for the late post. It was a beautiful day out so we were outside in the sunshine all day!!!
So no trip is ever taken without having some type of drama associated with it.
Bobby, April and Mike made it to Anchorage minus a bag. Of course with that many checked bags it was bound to happen. So the bag was lost and no one at the airline could find it....im shocked. However, the airline was very nice to them. FORTUNATELY for our climbers it was the food bag which could be replaced easily. So the airline was going to reimburse them and they even put them up in a hotel for the night. Luckily the bag showed up so they are out of the woods.
A text from April early Sunday morning stated that a car crash happened right in front of them and that they pulled an unconscious man out of a car. I do not have any further information so if someone else has information on this please chime in!!! Our crew was NOT INVOLVED at all in the accident.
The happy ending...they got their bag and they are scheduled to fly out to the glacier first thing in the morning. The way I understand it, the weather is very warm for this time of year and is making the snow very soft. So they will be traveling mostly at night so they have a good surface to walk on.
If you're like me and Dave shortly you will be glued to the spot finder watching them move it is very exciting. I love virtual climbing!!

April and Bobby have a third crew member with them this trip. Lets all welcome Mike to the crew!!! Mike is a very experienced climber and will be a great asset to April and Bobby. If any of Mike's family and friends want to give a little BIO on him please comment and I will post it!!
